So, armed with my camera, phone and Go Pro, here's a 12 minute Vlog of my trip to beautiful Sri Lanka in August 2016, including everything from the crazy transport (life in your own hands kinda thing!) to the beautiful hill stations and beyond.
Not forgetting the annual Buddhist Kandy Festival, also known as Esala Perahera, where each of the temples around the island are represented in the procession through elephants, lots of colourful outfits, dancing and fire.
I did a 6 day tour of the Island with On The Go Tours, my first ever group tour. They were a great bunch of people and the guide, Akter, was superb with his humour and in depth knowledge of his country.
