Landed Friday eve. Took off Sunday eve. Walked 14 miles Saturday. Talk about blitzing it all!
Such a beautiful city to walk around, very clean and safe. Tons of beautiful architecture old and new, loads of history and choice of Tapas. The Burrata is amazing!
Some highlights:
- Seville Cathedral
(make sure you pre-book tickets and go up the Tower, all 39 storeys of it!.The Cathedral is the resting place of Christopher Columbus)
- Archivo de Indias
(free to enter and the most beautiful flooring and architecture)
- Royal Alcazar
(pre book tickets, lovely gardens and exploring the underground parts)
- Plaza de Espana
(main pic, stunning boating lake and buildings here)
- Setas de Sevilla "The Mushroom"
(one of Europe's biggest wooden sculptures, great place to shade from the sun and hang out)
- Plaza de Toros (The Bullring)
(the history here is so mesmerising. It still has bullfights now in the ring and doubles up as a concert. A great museum too and lots of old vintage advertising dotted around)
- River cruise
(jump on an hours cruise up and down the river. Not a huge amount to see as all the main highlights are in land but still worth seeing the other sites from the boat)
