We sailed in to Kotor around 5.30am and were told the night before by the Captain, to get up early if we wanted to see the sunrise and a really unique sail in to port for a cruise ship along the narrow bays to the town. He wasn't wrong, it was spectacular! I took a time lapse of the sail in below.
Kotor itself is a charming town, steeped in history and beautiful buildings. I opted for the short hike above the city to the church and fortress that overlooks the town on the mountainside. You get amazing views of the bay and town below, so worth it!!
