Such a beautiful city to re-visit but it was noticeably sad about the serious drug and homelessness problem the downtown area of the city now has. I stayed at the Axiom hotel near Powell Street station which was a great central base, but sadly in the midst of all the homelessness.
First day was spent doing the boat trip under the Golden Gate Bridge on the blue and gold boats from Pier 39, then around Alcatraz island. The afternoon I walked around Fishermans Wharf and hiring a bike from Blazing Saddles and cycling along the waterfront, over the Golden Gate Bridge, down to Sausalito and back via the ferry.
Second day was spent visiting the Golden Gate Park and Japanese Tea Gardens.
